RECOVERY PASSWORD PADA CATALYST CISCO

Dunia Jaringanindo - Cara ini saya temukan di website cisco ketika salah satu temen saya mau pasang catalyst cisco di sentral tapi lupa password consolenya. Walhasil bergurulah kami pada uncle google tentang cara recovery password catalyst Cisco. Supaya gampang nyarinya klo kami lupa lagi (maklum lupa adalah salah satu hobi kita hehehe..) saya tulis aja

1. Konsol dulu catalyst cisconya pake Hyperterminal.
2. Matikan power
3. Nyalakan lagi powernya sambil menekan tombol mode yang ada di sebelah kiri depan catalsyt untuk melakukan interupt.
biar nggak bingung nih saya kasih gambarnya :langkah-langkahnya disini. Berikut selengkapnya :

Catatan : khusus untuk cisco catalyst 2955 tidak menggunakan tombol mode untuk melakukan interupt, tapi menggunakan ctrl + break.
Adapun tampilan yang akan terlihat pada hyperterminal adalah sbb :

4. Masukkan perintah flash_init :

5. Masukkan perintah load_helper :

6. Masukkan perintah dir flash:

Note: Make sure to type a colon “:” after the dir

flash.

7. Ketik : rename flash:config.text flash:config.old untuk merubah nama configuration file

switch: rename flash:config.text flash:config.old

8. Ketik perintah boot agar sistem melakukan booting.

9. Ketik “n” pada configuration dialog :

10. Ketik “en” untuk masuk ke mode enable.

11. Ketik : rename flash:config.old flash:config.text untuk mengembalikan nama asli pada configuration file.
Switch#rename flash:config.old flash:config.text

12. Copy Configuration file ke memory.

Switch#copy flash:config.text system:running-config

The configuration file is now reloaded.

13. Setting ulang password yang diinginkan pada catalyst.
Note: Overwrite the passwords which are necessary. You need not
overwrite all of the mentioned passwords.Sw1# conf t

Sw1(config)#enable password
!--- To overwrite existing vty password

14. Simpan konfigurasi pada memory.
